Cosy Holiday Cottage In Beautiful North Wales

Sleeps 4 people in 2 bedrooms (a double and a king size, there is also a folding bed)

Sunsets and Stars Holiday Cottage is set near the coast in a peaceful rural area with fantastic views over the countryside.  It is perfectly located to access all North Wales attractions, including the towns of Llandudno, Conwy, Rhos-on-Sea, and Betws-y-Coed. This cottage is ideal for couples and families or friends who want to combine a walking or cycling holiday with days at the beach and easy access to Snowdonia.  Sleeping four people in two bedrooms it also has a fold-out bed, suitable for an additional child, and a travel cot for infants. The master bedroom has large windows allowing you to enjoy a wonderful view without leaving your bed.

Recently remodelled to the highest standard the property combines contemporary facilities with old cottage charm. Inside the large yet cosy kitchen, you will find an original range with an open fire.  A sun-trap garden to the side and rear offers a secluded lawn with a small pond.  The garden leads up to a South- facing terrace with a great view and a large summerhouse.

While the cottage is very popular with walkers and those who want a quiet and relaxing break, it equally appeals to adventure seekers. Folk who charge up Snowdon in the morning, coasteer at lunchtime, and fly down zip wires in the afternoon.  Either way, a hot drench shower, and a comfortable bed will end the day splendidly.

The Village

Llysfaen is a quiet village just a short drive from the coast with easy access to the many local beaches.  The village shop and The Semaphore Lodge pub & restaurant are both within easy walking distance of the cottage.  Also, just a few minutes’ stroll from the cottage is Mynydd Marian – a site of special scientific interest with limestone cliffs that are popular with climbers.  On top of ‘the Marian’, Telegraph House was once part of a semaphore signalling chain between Holyhead and Liverpool docks, and with its amazing panoramic view, it’s one of the best places locally to watch the sun set slowly over the sea.

The Attractions

Llandudno with its Victorian pier and seafront, and Conwy with its 13th-century castle are just 20 minutes away by car and picturesque Betws Y Coed is just a little further on.  Local attractions include the Welsh Mountain Zoo, Conwy, Caernarfon and Beaumaris Castles, Snowdon with its mountain railway, Zip World and Bounce Below, and Aber Falls and Bodnant Gardens to name just a few – the list goes on and on.
