Location
The Village
Llysfaen is a quiet village just a short drive from the coast with easy access to the many local beaches. The village shop and The Semaphore Lodge pub & restaurant are both within easy walking distance of the cottage. Also, just a few minutes’ stroll from the cottage is Mynydd Marian – a site of special scientific interest with limestone cliffs that are popular with climbers. On top of ‘the Marian’, Telegraph House was once part of a semaphore signalling chain between Holyhead and Liverpool docks, and with its amazing panoramic view, it’s one of the best places locally to watch the sun set slowly over the sea.
The Attractions
Llandudno with its Victorian pier and seafront, and Conwy with its 13th-century castle are just 20 minutes away by car and picturesque Betws Y Coed is just a little further on. Local attractions include the Welsh Mountain Zoo, Conwy, Caernarfon and Beaumaris Castles, Snowdon with its mountain railway, Zip World and Bounce Below, and Aber Falls and Bodnant Gardens to name just a few – the list goes on and on.
